As a Sales Development Representative at SolarWinds, you’ll will have a significant impact on the growth of our business through new opportunity acquisition, and interaction with the sales team and sales leadership.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate company-provided contacts through the opportunity prospecting and qualification process
  • Articulate SolarWinds solutions, values and abilities to IT Engineers through phone and email communication
  • Land, expand and retain customers through prompt email/phone response.
  • Learn and develop new, creative sales techniques and strategies
  • Position yourself to understand the management and monitoring needs of the IT Engineer
  • Meet weekly quality and quantity pipe build metrics
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and articulate market feedback to SolarWinds’ senior leaders
  • Be able to contribute significantly to SolarWinds’ team culture

Qualifications

  • Experience in a sales or phone sales capacity, preferably in the IT Management Software market
  • As a Sales Representative for SolarWinds, you will be accountable for being passionate and doing the best work of your life
  • Must participate in the phone queue during your assigned shift, on time
  • You will maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, internal, and external customers
  • Passion for selling and enthusiastic self starter with a “can do” attitude. Experience with a high call volume, fast paced phone sales environment
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals by phone while maintaining established sales quotas
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively is absolutely a must.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office/Exchange, and SalesForce.
