    Unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology! Account Executives are responsible for selling a variety of SolarWinds MSP solutions to IT Service Providers globally. The Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue for Solarwinds MSP by closing sales at defined monthly quotas, while meeting activity targets and ensuring Partner and Customer satisfaction. The position proactively handles inbound trials for the Solarwinds MSP suite of solutions.

     

    Responsibilities

    As a Backup Account Executive, you will;

    • Sell Solarwinds Backup & Recovery via phone and email. Take incoming calls from prospects responding to sales inquiries; make out-bound calls to facilitate sales.
    • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Solarwinds Backup & Recovery, competitive products and technologies, and industry trends.
    • Follow up on leads and opportunities daily; Minimum of 40 calls per day.
    • Maintain an accurate pipeline using Salesforce.com. This includes data integrity and updating opportunities for weekly and monthly forecasting.
    • Identify new accounts in CRM and close sales. Maintain quality contacts with key decision makers as designated to that opportunity in your pipeline. Employ company resources as needed to close sales.
    • Prepare complete and accurate reports as requested.
    • Prospect for new accounts through personal sales calls, networking, marketing research and email campaigns.
    • Engage in technical sales discussions with potential clients via conference call or web demonstration; leveraging Sales Engineering resources where needed. This resource requires scheduling as well as briefing the SE prior to the call. All Partner and Customer conferences are to be clearly documented in Salesforce.com.
    • Submit quotes to customers and prospects as needed using the Salesforce ordering tool, and prepare, submit sales orders via the designated process.
    • Work to maintain high level of customer satisfaction by assisting with customer requests, complaints, and escalations
    • Attend sales meetings, training sessions as required. On occasion, these sales meetings are held during non-business hours including weekends.
    • Complete other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Preferences:

    • Proficiency and knowledge of MS Office, CRM, Outlook
    • Excellent phone/ email /customer service skills
    • Strong organizational, managerial, and personal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers
    • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Hours are according to region needs and may include some Holidays
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or sales support role required with demonstrated results in the needs-based and consultative selling process preferred
    • Basic understanding of territory management (planning, prospecting, and closing) preferred 
    • Experience in software as a service (SaaS) strongly preferred
