Solarwinds MSP has been experiencing explosive growth of our SAAS platforms and is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer with strong project management skills. We are seeking an individual who has risen through the ranks and possesses the hands on technical skills but who is energised from the collaboration, organisation, execution, and satisfaction of successful project delivery. This individual should be an accomplished technologist who is comfortable with a broad range of technology and who enjoys cross functional team management.  




Project Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project delivery stream of our MSP SAAS products (RMM, NCentral, MSPC and Backup) to ensure on time, quality, delivery.
  • Actively participate in design review and pressure test proposals.
  • Create technical project plans and oversee their execution.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Product Management and DevOps to align resources and priorities.
  • Senior to expert level technical skills and be able to call BS on delivery obstacles.
  • Remove project barriers and blockers.
  • Ensure projects are completed holistically; documentation, training, production monitoring, escalation paths, etc.


Project Engineer Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in appropriate technical discipline.
  • Relevant technical experience (experience with Agile methodologies).
  • Strong organisation and project management skills – experienced managing global infrastructure project deployments.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (specifically AWS).
  • Advanced TCP/IP networking experience and understanding.
  • Experience with SQL server – DBA level experience desirable.
  • Individuals who have risen through DevOps Engineering discipline strongly preferred.
