    Solarwinds is undergoing explosive growth and success with our SaaS offerings and as a result we are seeking a senior manager with strong technical skills to oversee four of our SaaS DevOps teams. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise and be capable of mentoring managers and individual contributors. They will also be responsible for delivering operational excellence, and meeting project commitments. This individual will oversee a global team and will collaborate with their peers to ensure a high level of operational service delivery, consistency, and efficiency.
    The successful candidate will possess a high degree of technical skill, like to work with cutting edge technology stacks, and have a good understanding of AWS, RackSpace and Ansible.  They will have a collaborate approach to problem solving, and have a financial understanding of the solutions we build, with a DevOps mentality in mind.     • Oversee daily operational activities, ensure proactive best practices, and deliver a high level of customer service.
    • Track key performance and capacity metrics to ensure consistent and proactive management of service delivery.
    • Primary liaison with product development teams concerning support of product delivery timelines.
    • Real world experience with Agile in a product delivery environment.
    • Solid technical skills and able to provide mentoring to team members.
    • Plan, manage and provide systems infrastructure and application support.
    • Responsible for availability, security and performance of the operational systems.
    • Develop and implement operational best practices while maintaining agility – stress automation of operational activities (IAC Mentality).
    • Manage relationships with hosting providers and other suppliers and hold them to a high level of service.





    • Experience designing and implementing SaaS solutions at scale.
    • Prior staff management experience required.
    • AWS knowledge and experience required – preferably at global scale.
    • Working experience of DevOps in a global environment.
    • Solid TCP/IP networking experience and understanding.
    • MySQL experience including database tuning, high availability, replication and optimization.
    • Experience with automation and orchestration technology – Infrastructure as Code.
    • Scripting and systems-related programming skills.
