    SolarWinds presence in APAC is growing steadily! We are looking for a Strategic account manager to play a critical role in building relationships with significant clients. Our ideal candidate should ensure client satisfaction and be able to identify new opportunities to increase sales. Working from our Sydney office you should be motivated, self-driven and have a zest for sales. You will be responsible for managing, deriving and converting leads into closed sales from your set geography/accounts with an attitude to over-achieve targets. You will also partner with Sales Engineering and Channel Partners to conduct web product demonstrations (online / onsite).

    Responsibilities

    • Manage our key accounts portfolio
    • Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
    • Achieve assigned strategic account objectives and sales performance metrics
    • Establish strong, long-term client relationships
    • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs
    • Articulate company’s product strategy and technical benefits and advantages relative to competitor offerings
    • Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
    • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers
    • Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts
    • Present account plan (which includes customer org chart & annual report) for quarterly business review

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years’ experience of selling in the software industry preferred
    • Successful track record of exceeding bookings and quota
    • Self-starter with the flexibility to lead, manage or contribute to changing market and sales needs with tactics that respond well to customer/partner needs
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships (including engagement with C-level)
    • Experience in the Pacific Market strongly preferred
