    The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the SolarWinds sales strategy, making certain that the corporate message is understood and its products are considered and ultimately chosen by leveraging sales and engineering resources in Ireland.  This role will be responsible for learning and executing on the SolarWinds sales model; selling software consistently and predictably to achieve pre-determined sales quotas and targets while ensuring a satisfied customer base to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory.


    • Maximising revenues through the management of inside sales activities.
    • Provides guidance to sales representatives
    • Develops plans and strategies to promote the success of the inside sales team.
    • Achieving sales targets for SolarWinds products, solutions and initiatives within specific time frames across multiple market segments
    • Providing timely and accurate business forecasts to sales and executive management
    • Working closely with other cross-functional management teams in marketing, product, and finance operations


    Core Skills:

    • Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build and motivate a sales organization to ensure both short and long term goals, objectives and quotas
    • Ability to understand sales numbers and manage to sales metrics 
    • Ability to make daily adjustments to maintain deal velocity and momentum
    • Ability to understand and communicate business concepts
    • Ability to adapt to changing business issues and requirements


    Experience and Education Required:

    • Business Development experience within DACH region
    • Channel Partner Management experience in DACH region is desirable
    • Proven track record in a quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement
    • Sales management experience
    • Ability to recruit a team and scale against aggressive growth targets
    • German and English language skills are essential
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
    • Knowledge and experience of networking technologies and our overall business environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with strong interpersonal skills
